Cab - Straight or Angle?
Karwei:we're talkin about the two differnt versions of a (normally)4x12 cab.You can have a straight cab, which means that all the speakers are vertical to the ground. In a slant cab the two upper speakers are a bit angled so the sound coming out of them unfolds in a more funnnel-shaped way.Playing a straight cab the sound unfolds in a more cylindrical way.
I personally like the angled cabs more, because I can hear myself better on stage, even if you're not too far away from the cab.

I like straight cabs. I know most people who own angled cabs mic the bottom speaker. Even so, I think the Straight cab has a better sound to them. Exspecialy for a recoding situation.
