Imagine if Yngwie used these. He'd go broke with one show. Throwing a couple hundred of these into the crowd each night would bankrupt Bill Gates after a national tour!

Cool idea though.

That's what I immediately thought!

:)

I also think it's a very cool Idea ...but I'd have to try them because they look pretty thick.

speaking of yngwie picks... his picks are so thick you have no idea...
his signature picks are 1.5mm dunlop deltrin picks... the light purple ones...although his custom picks are white

I do have an idea. I've been hit with several of them over the years during various concerts.

i'm a guitar pick collector myself...
yngwie is the only show where you dont have to fight or dive for a pick... you just wait till the pick gets thrown closest to you, and go for that one.
the one i caught fell on my seat behind me

please....i just carve a point in a brick

anyone ever tried those steel picks? I bought one for a laugh one day when I saw them in a music shop, they dig in the strings like crazy, no give, most weirdest feeling ever and that's ignoring the fact that after one use they warp depending on the way you hold them for so long and don't return to normal.

I use 1.14mm tortex sharps from which I gently "edge"(not smoothing or rounding, the opposite) the edges for more strict alternate picking efficiency, plus I scar them (parallel crossed lines with a knife on both surfaces) so that they won't slip with sweat, I find they have more grip that way.

For me the ideal (s)thickness lies between 88 and 1.5mm maximum though, especially for high shred and strict alternate picking.

I use that thickness. I first started using really heavy gauge picks when I became dissatisfied with the speed of the more pliable ones. My favorites are the Big Stubbys. They are thick, but with a beveled edge for a lot of accuracy and speed. I also like Fender extra heavy.
