Amazon lists the Sound Theories DVD as releasing on Sept 18! Hooray!
Will this be the same footage as the Euro TV special, or different stuff? And will there be any "extras"? (Amazon lists no detailed info at this point)

In Japan Sony Entertainment Japan shop site says it'll be released on Sept 5. I'm not sure of the rest of the world.

WOW so it would be actually released in 2007, then?
Although I enjoy most of Sound Theories, I have been a little disappointed with the way Steve has edited the "orchestra/guitar/intro/dialogue" on the CD, because I expected to hear what I actually saw on youtube(yes not ALL of us could attend these shows in holland) and in particular the percussion part which is not as nice, but its a matter of personal taste.

It's that known phenomenon, a sound engineer explained once that no matter how bad is the first version of a piece you can listen, you will always find "better" the first thing you heard, I think it's called "affective memory" or sthg.

There is one at amazon.com. I'm going to wait for it to be on vai.com because there will probably be more golden passes handed out.

these are references to Devin Townsend's last album "Ziltoid the Omniscient", the whole concept of the album is too difficult and too serious to be explained, go and buy this album now it's awesome(a true masterpiece on all accounts)...otherwise type "ziltoid the omniscient"+"myspace" in google, and you will have an idea..Zeds.Ded wrote:what the hell is a Zeltoid!
