what do you guys think about autowah (envelope filter) pedals. I'm thinking about building MXR envelope filter pedal for using in solos (something like wah, but I'm lazy to stopm ot all the time)
Thanks

ohh they are easy to use!
however, i never liked the sound those things produce.
its mostly sound muffeled.
i prefer a wah pedal.
i suggest you try them both.

I think you get a better sound with a manual wah for solos and the autowah for things like rhythm playing. I think the randomness of the manual will give you a better [phase] effect to the solos plus allowing for more of a [vocal] and dynamic sound.....

Just my two cents!

They can make interesting effects, particularly when used with a manual wah pedal, however I'm not a fan of them at all. With a manual wah, you have way more control of what you want to do, but yeah, you can do some pretty cool things with them.
