Introducing the Steve Vai Jemini Distortion Pedal
The long awaited Ibanez Jemini Steve Vai Signature Distortion Pedal is now widely available at your local music retailer, and Steve has created a much-anticipated demonstration video showing how the pedal works and sounds!
Says Steve of the pedal:
"You're stomping all over my brilliant idea, but that's OK, you're supposed to.
The goal was to create a schizophrenic type distortion pedal that allows you to have two different settings with two different sounding distortion pedals, all wrapped up in a psyco-delic bullet proof package. Now you can get your dirty little groove on in public... legally.
Stomp on!"
Check out the demonstration video in high quality on our special Vai.com homepage. We encourage you to share this great video with your friends and post it to your blog or MySpace page through Steve's official YouTube channel.

[News Item]Introducing the Steve Vai Jemini Distortion Peda
Cool Demo - now i want one again!
What is with the neck pick up on the Jem 7VWH? It looks smaller than the others - at first I thought another type of sustainer (not the Fernandes as that is the same size and doesn't have the pole pieces) but I can't see any on/off or mode switches.

i believe there is tape on either side of the pick up to protect the strings from getting caught under the pick up from steve heavy downstrokes at pointsMattw wrote:Cool Demo - now i want one again!

& that look Steve #2 gave Steve #1 mid-wank during that first demonstration solo made me choke from laughter

Does anybody know what effects were used on the "clean channel" prior to the pedal being turned on? I can guarantee that my clean channel doesn't sound that nice!
I could hear what I think might be chorus, but what else? I'm not very good with effects and wish I knew more. When I use a clean channel, I sometimes use some chorus, and that's about it, I'd love to have a sound more like Steve #2 has every once in a while.

That was probably the funniest and most creative thing I've seen in forever. Steve with a 7-string, EVO with the True Temperament, also sounded like the rhythm from "Triple Neck" was getting a nod in the beginning.
While I don't play much anymore, with kids and all, I really appreciate hearing and seeing this, many deep thanks.
