This one was an overall much better show than the one in Trieste (previous night). Especially with regard to the sound - almost all of the problems on the previous night were absent this time. One big difference was the audience, I think. The age range was leaning a little towards the elderly. My theory is that since this concert was part of a festival that has musicians like Yo-Yo Ma or Marta Argerich perform during this month, maybe there were some couples who had subscriptions to more events, this one included. I have a feel that some of these people had their first exposure to Steve's music tonight. It might have been quite a surprise to some.

The show started much quieter than in Trieste (where Steve really was on fire right from the beginning), but even from the second song it started to really grow and explode, so to speak. Steve was even playing better than on the previous night. The funniest thing was that in the middle of the show Steve threw a pick to the audience, and a kid from a few rows behind me (I was in the 8th row) ran across the whole theater and picked it up. Made for a good laugh. Anyway, towards the end of it all, almost everyone from the audience was standing in front of the stage, very much like the previous night. Another big thing was that the concert was broadcast on national radio. Steve, can you believe it? You got your music on the radio! For me, this night was also special because I got to see once again some dear friends from past years, and spend some time with them before and after the show. Made some more memories that I'll never forget.
