OOOO I'm the hell outta here like a Liberty Ballerina singing Behtoven's Fifth

As Homer Simpson would say:Steve Himself wrote:Greetings folks,
Well, I don't even know what to say after reading such wonderful and warm birthday wishes. I'm touched. Thanks so so much for your consideration, and Petie, thanks for the very suave rendition of Happy Birthday. Nice tone!
I have to say, I don't know what it is but I really enjoy my birthday. Even if I just stayed home and watched TV I would be smiling all day. I'm just excited about it all day and enjoy reading cards, making calls and especially reading this post. But fortunately this Saturday held a nice little walk into the backyard to enjoy some sun with Pia, and then I worked a bit on an introduction I am writing for a new Neil Zlozower photo book on guitar Gods and then I spoke to all my brothers and sisters and close friends. Then Pia and I were off to the Opera. Yup, that's right, the opera. We saw Verdi's "La traviata". They sure know how to pack some serious drama into all those notes.
In some other news, I finished the DVD of the show from Minneapolis on the last tour and I am very pleased with the way it came out. I hope you enjoy it too. Stay tuned to Vai.com for a release date.
today I am off for a photo shoot for the cover of Guitar Player magazine. Sure hope it comes out better than the photo on the cover of Guitar World where it looks like I was celebrating my 80th birthday. Eh, whatever, the notes are still there.
Peace and love and good happiness stuff.
