LOL. What does it sound like? What's the phrasing like? What notes did you hit? How did you arrange those notes? How did you accent or not accent those notes? Did you use staccato notes? What's the dynamics like?

Guitar isn't about playing very fast. It seems sounding good isn't an issue anymore.

I play so fast that the strings melt and I transcend the boundaries of time, which is about infinity beats per minute. I can only do it once a year for 2 seconds though and then my muscles need to regenerate.

Uh... about 130ish bpm or so... but I'm not sure how that helps you as a player.

i couldnt tell you because dont use a metronome, but i am ok, i guess, faster than most of my friends, so thats all that matters, but its not how fast you can pick, but how fast can you pick and still be able to shred something out of it, if your just doing the major scale or just striaght up the neck, well anylittle kid can do that in less than a week, but its the actual organisation of noted in the order you want that matters

So fast that you go faster than the speed of light and then travel back in time to the point where you started playing that fast lick and then it becomes a loop of you playing that fast lick forever? dear god thats fast.

I play so fast that you can't even hear it. That's how fast I play.

But, seriously fast isn't everything.

Listen to David Gilmour, he isn't fast but he is freaken great.

I've reached the speed where it then becomes pointless to bother.

well, this sorta post is bound to get silly answers by some immature people who thinks its funny, but seriously, i can play 64th notes at 208bpm when i dont have a cold, when i have warmed up i can just manage 64th note sextuplets at that speed, but only for 3 seconds at a time, cos otherwise it burns my guitar, and it costs too much for me to keep replacing them.

I did 208 on my acoustic without a pick yesterday...

It was an e-minor scale, but I started on the 7th scale degree on the high E string, and worked up the strings and hit the bass E open.
