anyone learnt any vai solos note for note?. what is the best way to learn them? what about the timing is it exactly like transcribed? once you have learnt the notes to the solo/song are you counting or just playing by feel? any comments appreciated. my aim is to get as close as possible to the recording.

I check tabs occasionally but I find them to be inaccurate sometimes...and those "little things" are always missing
