Definitely, I saw it ages ago now and still use alot of exercises he shows in my warm ups.
I think it´s only worth getting if you´d like to see some showoff (and the originals of the Phycho exercises, rack explaination included)
. I couldn´t really get much out of that video.
If you´re trying to learn alternate picking, I´d go for Michael Angelo Batios Speed Kills 1 and Paul Gilberts Insane Guitar.

Its not really a very useful video unless for some reason you can't find the vast swathes of technique threads scattered on forums.
I have to note here that JP's picking technique isn't one you'll want to emulate, while he may have great chops, he anchors his picking hand and it makes him very tense during fast runs.

wel, his hand looks very tensed, that doesn´t mean his wrist is. I like his picking technique, mine is pretty similar, you´ll find your own anyway, if you imitate or not. You can also see Steve picking with his fingertips, what you´re also told not to do.
What is "chops"? Can you tell me
?

That's what I would call "bedding in control".Frizbledom wrote:Its not really a very useful video unless for some reason you can't find the vast swathes of technique threads scattered on forums.

Minimal movement & higher precision.

It's on my christmas list, so if its not that great, its no real loss.

oh, it is! Yo could have a good teaching video instead, what you will have to buy anyway now
.
Well, Rock Discipline is not that bad, but there are much better videos to show you how to play the guitar. I think it´s more a showoff, not completely, but mostly.
