Very nice man, good techinque and good chops....could i sense a lydian scale going on? I could just hear a maj7(#11) chord working over that.

Its basically G# phrygian... i added G#m, 9th arpeggios and the pentatonics to give some flavor.

It was good. I liked the arpeggios. Not very Vai-ish, but still good dude! :)

It depends... I usually start some picking patterns slowly... starting with downstrokes then upstrokes with the same thing... then ill do some left hand legatos... etc or basically ill play parts of songs i like slowly till i feel my hands loose... like 20 min.. then ill take some time off for coffee and back to play. If im not ok ill do more time... cause sometimes i just dont have time to play the guitar... sometimes for days and when i get back to it my hands are just not moving right heheh. Its a good thing to stretch you arms and hand muscles(like J Petrucci does in his video lesson).
