I was thinking about that earlier today. I, too, love Les Pauls. I have a beautiful Honeyburst LP Classic. I was thinking of the plausability of routing it for a Floyd Rose trem bar, but can't stand the thought of taking any type of wood removing object to it...

Look around on E Bay and on the Internet. Floyd Rose made a special bridge that required no routing for a guitar with a tune-o-matic bridge like on the Les Paul. All you had to do was just take off the tail piece, and slap on the Floyd and get a locking nut or locking tuners, and you had a Floyd Rose on a Les Paul.

They are a bit pricey nowadays, but that's because they are hard to find.

ummm... Stewmac's selling 'em, bro. (It sure looks a lot like what you're talking about)

Anyway, perhaps you should read Rich's comments on that bridge on Jemsite.

Felipe: have you tried playing with a slide?

Nope.. those are completley different.

Those are just regular bridges..

This particular one actually looks like a Floyd Rose.
