Don't fel too bad. Sometime thats the best way to go. I was visiting a friend in Vermont a couple years ago and he had a gig that night so he needed to go to the music store for a set of strings. He walks out with his strings I walk out with a new Strat. 
It happens sometimes. Congrats and can't wait to see the pics of the new axe!!!

I'd say that's what a good decision. I've always loved Brian May's guitar. A nice addition to any collection.

I played all bloody day! It's soooo smooth I might make a little clip playing Always With Me Always With You with my RS. It sounds so nice and aggressive at the same time.

That fretboard has some radius on to it. Does it make any particular things awkward to do?
Not at all. It's a brilliant guitar to play. A piece of art to create art, as I love to say it 
I haven't regret buying the guitar for one second yet!
But one thing which is pitty is that it get's out of tune real fast. I prefer tremolo locking systems.
