Hmmm a tough one, if we're going ot be stictly honest we whould have to ask WHAT WOULD STEVE PLAY?? Am I right??

In the absence of that knowledge I would go for a Fender Jaguar or Jazzmaster (gotta love the Chillis) OR perhaps a custom Kramer (if I had the spondooly) ala Tom Morello.

I'm on my first electric guitar (played classical before that) and it's an ESP LTD H302.

I actually don't play Ibanez guitars (listens for the gasp). I play Carvins and Jacksons because Marty Friedman was one of my huge influences as a young guitar player and I'm happy with those instruments.

I voted Jackson because overall their my favorite guitar company, along with Ibanez. Jackson Soloists are just amazing, and Jackson is great for metal, which I love. Musicman is great too, especially JPM's so it would be a tuff decision.

I have an Ibanez v770 which I love but I would go for a Parker Fly that I tried out at NAMM. Godin makes a nice guitar also.

I'd be playing whatever Steve and Joe would, because you know they'd be the most radically beautiful monster players available ;)

I'd go with Carvin because they have a great lefty policy and make great guitars for the money. Sure, the pickups aren't that great but they can always be changed by some DiMarzios... :D
