If there were no Ibanez guitars, what would you play?

I would play EB/MM John Petrucci models.

Tom Andersons, but with a LoPro and 24 frets. :-)

I'd play the Kevan Geier signature model that Tom Anderson would make ;)

Actually I don't know what I'd play because if Ibanez were eliminated from the timeline altogether the folks who influenced me when I was in my formative years would be playing something else entirely, and so on and so on.

Maybe the answer for that is "What guitars were Steve and Joe playing at Expo 92?"

It'd probably be one of those.

IfI had to go out today and buy a non-Ibanez guitar, based on what I've tried it would probably be a Tom Anderson Drop Top Classic. In Bora Bora Blue.

I'm a Gibson guy at heart! I wouldn't trade my 57 BB for anything!

Hrmm... tough one.

Probably an Ernie Ball/MusicMan JP Model, mainly because I've wanted a smoother, sleeker looking, non-Floyd "high performance" guitar in 7 strings with piezo for a while now. The RG-style seems a bit, well, just not my style.

So yeah... EB/MM JPM's for me. Even though I'm not a huge signature model fan, that'd be my pick. Then again... a nice custom Conklin 7 string with an extended fretboard and really smooth, rounded, sleek body would be beyond sweet. So I guess "other" will be my pick for this one 8)

I'd play... a MAXXAS! Oh, wait... those did have an Ibanez logo on them, didn't they? ;)

Hm. I dunno. I already have so many others that i like. I haven't got a Tom Anderson or a PRS, though. (I'll take 1 of each, please!) And if Parker ever made a 7-string, i'd be all over that.

I'd play what makes me happy. Just like i do now. :)

Big fan of washburn, I will love to play a N4 that was a really simple and original guitar.

I'd probably lean towards Jackson/Charvel, but it would have to be a USA Custom.

Well, they DID make a USA Jacskon Soloist called the "SL2", not SL2H, but just SL2. It was a dual humbucker soloist with NO inlays. I have seen a few go on E Bay for PRETTY DARN CHEAP! Around, the 500 dollar area.

Definitely a Jackson Soloist....probably the limited run one that was made for that hugely-Jackson oriented guitar shop....something like an SL2H I think....string-thru neck-thru, Duncan Jazz and Duncan JB pickups...Emerald Green and Chlorine Blue finishes! These are beyond sweet.

Probably a Jackson. It would have to be a bolt on though.

I would have to go with PRS or Ernie Ball.
