I saw a new brand of guitars in a search engine called SX guitars. I thought I'd try one out, so i ordered one (click http://www.rondomusic.net/seg1std.html to see it). I ordered it and it came in about 3 days. It's pretty good( not to mention the price, $130.00), but I think I'm gonna put evolutions in it. I've got the metallic wine red one. I think it's for people who wanna shred on a budget, or for people who break guitars alot, But the quality is great.

yeah, i couldnt believe the price on it when it came in.

also check out this page > http://sxguitar.com/seg-1_series.htm.
They don't have the style body depicted in the picture, they use RG copy bodies. They have one that looks just like an Ibanez RG2550e Prestige. The STDplus is a beautiful model. Check the site out while youre at it. They make lots of copies.

All they need now is a seven string, and I'm down.

That would be sweet. Check this one out too > http://www.rondomusic.net/segstdplus.html. The price is a little higher at $160.00, but Damn this one's beautiful.

You'll have to let us all know how it it sounds when you get it. I'm a bit curious...

The tone that comes out of it clean is:
Bridge- Clean and Crisp, good for pretty much anything
Middle- A bit bassy, but bold tone, resembling a les paul in a way
Neck- Here comes the blues... perfect for blues and leads.

Distorted it comes out:
Bridge- Very heavy, Picks up good harmonics
middle- perfect for rythmn guitar in a rock or metal band
Neck- Smooth and buttery, yet searing solos.

I will try to get a sound clip up as soon as possible.

It's sweet, but a six-string version of vai's universe. So for all of you who wanted the style of that universe, but in a six string, Here you go.

Do you have a more expensive guitar that you are comparing it to like a jem or rg?
