Haiku's japanese poetry. And you make it look as if shredding is a bad thing...shame on you. If you don't like that's ok. But teleporting Pablo inside a rotten, smelly man is a very dubious yet artistic statement. Must be a big big smelly rotten man. PG's 6'5" or so...Maybe a big smelly basketball player...8 feet tall

Then don't waste your time saying you don't like him. Easy, not?
PG is great and he always will be.

The coolest thing about Paul's site is that he oven bakes it himself for all his fans. Not many rock stars do that. He's on the cover of Young Guitar magazine AGAIN this month. I wish we could get that mag in Canada.

Paul kicks ass, and he is the best at making a tutorial video! I've seen a couple of videos - one of Paul's, one of Petrucci's and one of EJ's. Paul's is the best, really nicely presented. EJ's is a close second and Petrucci's isn't so good. It's not as accessible.

What's Paul's solo stuff like?

Paul's solo stuff is very Japanese poppish type stuff.. and their pop borrows a lot from sixties artists like the Beatles.. so it's very classic sounding and he adds some shred in there too. I really enjoy it because I like japanese pop a lot.

so who have we got here?

Vai, Satriani, Gilbert, Sheehan, Lukather and.....who's last.....is that Petrucci with Shades?

Paul must have been asked to do a G3 show? Surely?! Maybe he's next! (after Jennifer Batten. hehe)

The coolest thing about Paul is the fact that if you email him the chances are really good he'll email you back personally.

Paul Gilbert is a FANTASTIC player, with technique that would tear your arm off.
One of the best things about him......his sense of humor.
The guy is hysterical.......
