Yeah, quite shocking. He was a musical genius, no doubt about it.

Strange guy, yes, but he never really lived a normal life so he's bound to be a bit weird.

Still love his music, though. It's the only pop music that gives you goose bumps.

I just wonder who´s gonna be the next scapegoat....there always will be one, it´s human nature.
At least Michael is free now.

I always felt sorry for how everything turned out for him. So much good music we couldn´t hear because of probems he had or/and was put into :(. There was so much more to come once...

Thriller, something that going to stay forever, with the EVH solo, of course
Most people are aware of the EVH solo but don't know that Steve Lukather was playing the riff. For years I was one of them

Le roi est mort, Vive le roi.

How is this possible??, He always seemed like such a strong man.
With endless stamina en energy. Its hard to imagine this planet without him,
He had such an impressive impact on our culture and music.

Last night before I went to sleep I saw a news bulletin that Michael was in the hospital. This morning when I woke up some how I knew he died. I turned on CNN and there it was. "Breaking new", Michael Jackson died!

Even though these last years he changed dramatically his first work with Motown (Jackson 5) upto Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad are just master! I think he did some amazing work but I won't say I was a very big fan. But you can't deny that he has added something different to today's music.

I hope he finds his rest.

i'm not a die hard fan and it's been some time since i've listened to michael jackson but I almost shed a tear when I was listening to tributes on the radio while at work, the initial 'michael jackson died' was shocking but not that big of a deal to me but soon as I started listening again, it just felt like such a unique and precious talent has left us, you will never hear anything from him again and it sucks. His music, his voice and energy has just lived on through generation after generation and even today mj's music is still widely known and loved. He was a one in a million artist.

Let him live on through his music for eternity

i remember dancing w/ my friends in front of the class back when i was 5th grade the song 'smooth criminal' by Michael Jackson..(i grew up in the 80's btw)

my buddy had a 'thriller' video in VHS but we only had betamax so we had to borrow a VHS player too & had it played in our house, hehe

the videos in the 'Dangerous' album were just amazing, he had everybody there.. eddie murphy, majic johnson, michael jordan, home alone kid i can't spell his name lol, slash (& btw is it only me or MJ's song 'give in to me' w/ slash sounds a lot like Dream Theater's 'Endless Sacrifice', at least the verse riff of endless sacrifice)

'Bad' & 'Beat It' will always be to me the ultimate gangster video.. 50cent, snoop, eminem, or other rappers can't top that.. lol

As for what I can remember, Micheal Jackson and Meat Loaf where the
only ones who had those big, cinematic "music" videos wich where really impressive
Jackson with thriller and mr. Loaf with I would do anything for love etc.. Good times.
