Selflless Love- Steve Vai

WHEW, the Complete range of emotions are emcompassed in this song for me. Even beyond spouse and child in a way. Wish I could express it in words.

Thank You Steve. You are food for the soul. :)

Good video, but I prefer Connie Talbot's first appearance.

Someone mentioned a Rush tune, and years ago I remember really feeling "shredded" -- in the sense of being held in suspense for three minutes and then being dropped through a sieve at the conclusion of the tune -- or something like that anyway, at the end of the tune "Distant Early Warning." I was youngish (14 or so) and I may have been influenced by MTV. (Cold war era video, it felt intense.)

Rebekah del Rio's version of a Roy Orbison classic, from the film "Mullholland Drive," is really something that hit me hard in the movies.

(so did the music in "28 Days Later" and "28 Weeks Later")

But what immediately comes to mind: "Tonight" (Quintet) from West Side Story and "What I Did for Love" from A Chorus Line. "On My Own" from Les Miz. And the solo from "Machine Gun" by Jimi Hendrix.

Black Sabbath - Solitude

I was once hearing music in my ipod while trying to fall asleep and this song came. I don't know why but it instantly brought tears into my eyes.

I don't have a song that tears me up, because Life and All aspects of life are blessed, and should be perceived as such,....however......I DO have a few unique "magic" buttons,....allow me to explain.

One song,....Don't Look Back,...Boston
Why? I feel the dynamics of that song on SOOO many levels.
He was my favorite male singer besides Stevie

the Other would be Substitute for Love Drowned World,..Madonna,
reasons I cannot articulate at this time.

Amazing Grace. Both Vai's version and Tommy Emmanuel's version.

Every time I hear the song "Amazing Grace" I think of our troops, The Men and Women who sacrifice their own time and lives to ensure the freedoms and liberties we as Americans take advantage of everyday are available to us and secure in that sense.
My hat is off to them and my heart is humbled.

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come;
'Tis Grace that brought me safe thus far
and Grace will lead me home.

Love that song!
