Movies that rock!

#1 Post by Aelja » Fri Jan 16, 2009 12:16 pm

I'm looking for some suggestions about Rock 'n' Roll (and maybe Blues) movies.

Some of my favourite ones are Rock Star, This is Spinal Tap, Still Crazy, Almost Famous, Crossroads, The School of Rock, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and Walk the Line.

Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (Vai's riffs are all over the place :D , & "the reaper" was playing in the background in the grocery scene [am i right?,or was it the ending], & Kiss's God gave rock & roll..)

That Thing You Do (my former band actually got to play three of their songs[the wonders] in the movie, no kidding)

The pick of destiny w/ jack black ('nuff said)

& there was that movie about the beatles.. not that the beatles starred in it.. it was about a bunch of kids who wanted to go to this beatles concert.. & there was one guy's dad who wanted his son to get a haircut, cause his haircut was kinda like that of the beatles, & his father wouldnt give him the tickets.. & then one of their guys wanted to destroy the antenna w/ an ax & ended up being struck by lightning.. anyway the funny thing was that at the end part, they did get a chance to see the beatles in the hotel.. they were hiding under the bed then the fab four went in.. they could only see their feet.. & then the beatles went backdoor to escape the crowd & ended up riding in their car or somethin.. anybody here remember that movie???

Beatles Movies are cool too...

Hard Day's Night
Help!
Magical Mystery Tour
Yellow Submarine -- we're Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band...

Then there's always:
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
The Phantom of the Paradise
and
A Star is Born -- with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson
