Highly recommended. As I've grown older, I have appreciated players like Stevens more and more. He's written some of the most memorable songs during his long relationship with Billy Idol, then can veer off and do some great prog/rock compositions like Bozzio/Levin/Stevens, can play a mean flamenco guitar, and somehow wraps all this up into a style that is uniquely his own.

If it's melodic rock that sounds fresh and inspiring that you are after, I recommend Andy James's album "In The Wake of Chaos". Very influenced by Satch, but so much better than any of his recent offerings IMHO.

Stevens new album is great, you can totally tell what he was going for. That Steve Howe and Robin Trower sound. Total recomendation, possibly best album of the year??? To early to tell...
