Is there going to be two versions of the album? One with a single CD and the other is CD+DVD? No info of this anywhere!!!
Unfortunately for me, the DVD version is USA only.

Hmm, as in only people in the USA can watch it, or buy it?

Because there is an Australian website that is claiming to be selling the CD+DVD version.. Its not a 'backdoor' website either, its quite a well known business here.

& NZ is extremely close to Australia so, if its the buying part of it thats the problem, this may be your solution?

Are we talking about the same Joe Satriani? Perhaps this is something you posted 15 years ago when it was actually true  I can't see how rolling out the same old blues licks can be seem as something 'new & fresh'. I'm not being funny, FRETPICK, I really want to 'believe' again so perhaps you could point out the things that are fresh and new-I could well be missing it.

His strings are fresh and new, BBB. And picks. And new cheesy hats to cover his freshly shaved head.

 I'm honestly being serious-perhaps I am missing something in Satch's work and I'm sincerely asking FRETPICK for some.....guidance (sorry for the pomposity-Frasier Crane)

The more I listen, the more I like these samples. They're growers for sure!

I'm actually really looking forward to this album now :D

I always look forward to a new Satch album. It's just that three weeks down the line I realise that most of the songs are shit.

I so, so, so much want to be impressed with his latest effort.

The last album I've bought from Satch was Strange Beautiful Music but honestly, I've kinda lost him after the album Joe Satriani. I've heard Is There Love in Space and Super Colossal but I didn't even bought them just because they didn't rock my boat. It isn't really refreshing what he does, he kinda stays in the same groove you know what I mean. I'm gonna check his new album though. I'm currious how it sounds. If I like it I may go and check 1 of the 3 shows he's going to do here in Holland.

I had a quick listen and this sounds quite promising-back to Mixolydian and away from the blues from what I can tell from the snippets on Amazon. I have to say that making 'I Just Wanna Suck' as the first song available to listen on the website was sheer folly. Its one of the worst 'audience participation song by numbers' I've ever heard!

I am likely to order this CD now, but I will not be ripping 'I Just Wanna Suck' onto my iPOD!

More samples from gruskada at satrianiforum.com
30 second clips from Barnes & Noble, some of which are different than Amazon's:

After the sheer terror of "I just wanna rock", the rest of the sound samples sound hell of a lot better. I`m pleased to hear that Satch has brought out a little more keyboards this time. Brings more "space" to the albums overall sound. The handclap samples on "Andalusia" sound a bit cheap though... Why not do them the old fashioned way? Well, I will buy the album anyway! :D

I've already pre-ordered 2 copies (the 2nd one to get the DVD.) :D
