An AMAZING Greg Howe video clip playing over "Sunny" backing track.

GH is just by far one of the most incredible guitar players I have ever heard.

Not crazy about his sound, but his playing is simply great. Love that sliding vibrato of his.

Is this a first take? There seems to be some splicing and editing going on in the video. Howe's a good player but he really doesn't do anything for me despite all efforts to "get" what he's doing (as I have most of his CD's). I saw him play during NAMM a couple of years ago and wasn't impressed at all. To me, what he does isn't spontaneous and sounds all worked out in advance - lotsa licks and tricks but he just doens't seem to be saying anything. Good player, but definitely not my cup of tea.

i absolutely adore that guitar style. can anyone tell me what sort of scales i need to check out to get into playing that. is it called 'Fusion' yeh? to work on the phrasing im going to have to listen to a good bit of that sort of style, does Greg's music mostly like that? any help appreciated!

It's a one take video with splicing, Greg said there was to much noodling.
