Anyone picked up the new Maiden album, yet? It sounds fantastic.

Eh, it sounds good, but I don't like it very much!
It's not that "typical" Iron Maiden, at least not to me.

Yeah, I guess. I really loved Brave New World, though.

I know, it's their best album---and probably one of my top five of all time.

"A Matter of Life and Death" and "Brave New World" are both good.
But I prefer the old classics, from the first to and including "Seventh Son..."

Iron Maiden are coming to play in my hometown this autumn, of
course I got thickets :)

Good for you. ENJOY! :D
One of my favourite Maiden songs is Drifter, from the time when Paul Di'Anno sang - I think it was him!

I really like it. Long songs, progressive elements, cool solos, great Bruce vocals and a very tight sound. I think I'm gonna buy it.

On first impression it's ok, but I'd say DoD & BNW are better. I guess they recorded this new one "live."

I think it would be cool if Maiden kinda re-invented themselves, you know, like Judas Priest did with Painkiller & Testament did with Low, but definitely NOT like Metallica did with The Black Album.
