I don't know about making me grin and feel mighty, but theres a song by Skid Row which I first heard as a teen, but it is definately a Powerful song.

It's called 18 & Life. You get a better picture of the meaning of the song by watching the video, but it's about a kid who turns 18 and ends up shooting his best friend in the heat of an argument and he gets life in jail.

The part of the track where he commits murder is when the guitar solo kicks in. The song always gives me that shiver down the spine even after 15 years!!!

It has to go down in my hall of fame for sure. Classic!!!
