Hmm... I think these are the best...

Judas Priest - Angel of Retribution
EdGuy - Superheroes
Opeth - Ghost Reveries
Black Label Society - Mafia
Dream Theater - Octavarium
James Labrie - Elements of Persuasion

Personally speaking I enjoyed Fear Factoy's Transgression. Not any sort of shred guitar masterpiece, he actually plays like two and a half solo's on this album for the first time ever!!LOL However I do like how their music takes me places. Always persuing what ever it is they try so hard to find.
Any other fear factory fans out there?

Haven't heard Transgression, but I have seen them a few times including Gigantour, they were very good as usual, although I wasn't as impressed as I was at the Demanufacture tour.

Oh, by the way, & I know this doesn't equate to good music, but just to throw it out there; Life of Agony's Broken Valley has sold approximately 30,000 copies in the U.S., not too bad for a "i hope you're joking..." kinda album huh!?

30000 isnt that many records... considering they were on one of the biggest tours in the past couple years.. lol

just shows how crappy they are.

they put on the worst show i've ever seen live

I didn't say 30,000 was any kind of a benchmark for anything, just lettin' ya know that some people like the album that's all. Just because you don't like it & I do means nothing really. You don't like it, don't listen to it.

I'm sure you like some stuff that I'd consider mediocre at best.

The worst live show ever huh!? Really!? Hmmm!

30,000 might not be a whole lot in the grand scheme of things & they're not HUGE band anyway, but it's more than some bands have sold, & it's probably safe to say that's it's more records than either you or I have sold.

Didn't see them this time around, but they were pretty good on the River Runs Red tour, back in '93.   8) :peace

I reckon
Judas Priest - Angel of Retribution
killer album doubled with a killer comeback.

Post a list of what you listen to, I'll look it over, & I'll tell you which bands on it I feel are mediocre. :)

I've only bought five albums released in '05:

Steve Vai - Real Illusions: Reflections
Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force - Unleash the Fury
Kamelot - The Black Halo
Iron Maiden - Death on the Road
Judas Priest - Angel of Retribution

I also heard Bruce Dickinson - The Chemical Wedding.

The Chemical Wedding is from 1998, Tyranny of Souls is from 2005.

Damn! Yeah, I meant Tyranny of Souls, lol. The Chemical Wedding is my favorite Bruce solo album.
