Anyone liek slipknot?

#1 Post by dweezil 9 » Mon Aug 29, 2005 7:26 pm

I've never really been a fan, but I can't help but enjoy that really low tuned shit. I only really know pulse of the maggots and wait and bleed. I laughed so much when I heard them, but they are stll kinda cool. The solo in pulse of the maggots is so fuckign stoupidly fast and jsut rediculous.

Am I insane?

I saw them supporting 'tallica in Dublin last year. UTTER SHITE but equally hilarious to watch.

They're completely over the top. I saw them on TV not so long ago, and I liked it, but I'd never consider buying anything from them.

No!. I have heard some of their stuff on video channels. Popular with students who wear a ruck sack with nothing in it!.

An interesting and enjoyable novelty act. I can crank up the radio when one of their songs are played and get into the whole "road rage" thing.

But there's no way I could sit through one of their CDs or concerts.

I think they are a great bunch of musicians and performers. I certainly don't blow them off as a novelty act......that spot is reserved for KISS.

You would also have to put Steve Vai in that category (remember that mask he wears at his shows? How 'bout the headgear with lights and such?)
It's for the performance and its very entertaining......Unlike KISS where its all just a big money-making machine. I've seen Slipknot a few times, and regardless of some of the idiots they attract as fans, I love the band.

Just my .02 :)

I'm not impressed at all with Slipknot's music, & I'd much rather listen to KISS! Some decent musicians in Slipknot, just don't like a majority of their music. Slipknot can only dream of being as successful as KISS.

Their old stuff was for angst ridden spoiled rich kids. The new stuff is much better cos it has better guitar work.
