Wow V41, that's pretty cool!!! Have you ever spoken with this guy? If yes, has he told you anything about Andres.

I'm pretty sure that Andres was self-taught. I think his parents tried to force him to be a pianist, but he liked guitar.

I really can't make a list like that...

Sometimes I think

"Joe's music is very beautiful... He IS the best"

But sometimes I think:

"One Of the greatest cool shred solos on earth!!!! Paul Gilbert is the best"

and sometimes I think:

"VERY, VERY cool Whammy tricky's Steve does... and what a show!!!!.... He must be the best..."

Everytime I think about this I must say every guitarist has his own style or talent...

Joe has got the talent to make VERY beautiful music...

Steve has got the talent for the F**king greatest show on earth...

Paul Gilbert has got the talent to give the coolest shred solo's on earth...

John Petrucci has got the talent to make good music with a band AND give beautiful solo's...

Gary Moore makes the best combination between Blues and (Hard) Rock....

Buddy Guy...blablbalbal

Frank Gambale...blbalbala

SO there is now such as a list of best guitarist it simply doesn't excist....

But that's my opinion...

My top spot always goes to Jimmy Page. The master riff maker/producer

Then Steve Vai for his unique quirky sounds and soaring melodies.

And then the late great Rory Gallagher. It amazes me how little recognition Rory Gallagher gets.

Not yet, but he's going to be one of my teachers in the fall, so I'll keep you updated.

Wowww I'm really the odd one out  !! I love Vai, and Rusty Cooley and all these amazing shredders, and I'm not gonna say who's the best guitar player in the world, because picking through all of these amazing players and sayin whose the best guitar player in the world is just stupid :?

But my Favorite guitar player ever is Dimebag Darrell. I love him man, he has an amazing vibrato, chops of doom, and he uses blues an awfull lot in his solos  .
