What about Tender surrender?
I consider that piece really heavy!it's played pretty fast and Steve shows all of his skills.Just note how many different scales he uses!
8) The use of the vol.pot is just incredible! And of course tapping, sweep&speed picking, legato runs, bendings etc. But:it's not only about playing fast!To me this(and Whispering a prayer) is Steves most emotional piece!Just try playing it and you'll see what I mean!

By "heavy", I mean emotionally weighty. The industrial sounds, screams of pain, and crucifixion evocation could be termed "heavy". Bad Horsie is more of a "Yee-haw!" kind of heavy.

Other than what's already been mentioned:
Kill The Guy with the Ball
Bad Horsie

what about:
San-San-Nana-Byoushi

And of course most of Sex & Religion.

Heavy in my opinion is a grinding beat and chugging guitars that sound "heavy"

Heavy metal Vai:

Bad Horsie

Heavy emotions Vai:

Tender Surrender

The Bad Horsie from the astoris DVD is probably the heavyest thing he's done.

Overall, his "heavy" pieces include:

Bad Horsie
Kill the Guy With the Ball
Speeding
There's a Fire in the House
The Mysterious Murder of Christian Tiera's Lover (Filler, but nonetheless..)
The Murder
Giant Balls of Gold
Building the Church (The main riff)
Midway Creatures

The heaviest out of those is either Speeding or Bad Horsie. Speeding feels like metal; Bad Horsie is a mix of blues and metal.

One becomes sort of ''immune' to 'heaviness' after a while, I seem to remember I thought 'Taurus Bulba' was pretty heavy when I first heard it.

I agree alot with this list. Also, what about Opposites Attract pt 2 [The Indulgent Version]

When I think of heavy I think raw, crunchy and bassy guitar distortion. So I definitely think The Mysterious Murder of Christian Tiera's Lover takes the cake there. Midway Creatures is up there too.
