Oh I know!
"Passion" (blue/pink) is so pretty... reminds me of something at the edge of my memory. Can't quite put my finger on it, but familiar, all the same. Love it. Liquid. Cool. With the pink of Winter Sunsets.
"Warfare" (orange/yellow) is like looking at molten lava, fire, or Solar flares. Just like fire, there's something beautiful, exciting, wild, and just a little 'dangerous' looking about that guitar. Fantastic.

But ooh, that "Silver" (silver/blue).!. Man, I want that one! (and I don't even play...) It's just so beautiful and I can't stop looking at it. One of those things that you just feel drawn to, like you gotta' get closer to it, gotta' hold it... *sigh* I want that one.
I'd learn how to play, just for that gorgeous guitar...

So looks like a early summer release now, followed by a tour. Interesting it sounds like this will be major tour because I remember him saying that there would only be a smaller number of European and US dates and that would be it.. Looking forward to the new music and tour, the only disappointing thing about all this is that it'll mean we'll probably have to wait for that "guitar album" until 2020

Ah bummer. I was really looking for a Spring tour... If it happens in Summer, I'll really have to get creative.
Spring would be awesome, coz I could take my mom to a show... and maybe even a meet-up w/ my best friend, and we all go together! 8)
Summer means I'll have to figure out transportation to go at all. :(

Has there been any news on the new release? Last I've heard was that it was going to be released in May, but I'm afraid it's going to get pushed back again...along with the tour...

We are actually sending out a newsletter right now.
Also, check out the tour dates page for upcoming dates, and we'll be adding dates over the next days / weeks as we get them.

News dates have just been anounced for the Passion and Warfare 25th Anniversary Tour !!!!! :)

Many many many dates in Europe, so far.
I can tell you I will be at the show in Luxemburg (accompanied for the first time by my two children, aged 17 and 15, it will be their first Vai show - and they are in love with his music just as I am).

One burning question, though: Who will be in the band ? I suppose Jeremy and Dave will of course be there, but who will be on bass ? on keys ? etc....

I suppose so.
Although the perspective of hearing live performances of "Alien water kiss" and "Love secrets" certainly seems uncertain :) (but I would love to.....) ,)

Any news about the Premium tickets? Where do I buy?
Do I have to buy an normal ticket first and afterwards the premium ticket?
How much does it cost and do I get for it?
Questions... questions....questions :-)
Thanks for your reply.

Steve has said he'll be doing the entire album...

this is from the announcement on the News page, here
http://www.vai.com/category/news/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

“Performing this record from top to bottom (with some very special surprises in the works) is something I’ve always dreamed of doing,” Vai said. “There are songs here I’ve never performed before, and I’m delighted that 25 years after its release, I feel as though my guitar chops are as much up to the task as ever before.”

I'm so excited, and I've got the biggest smile on my face right now.!. 8) :headbang

Information about tickets and Evo packages will be added to the news page as I get them. Things are still being worked out.
