New album?

#1 Post by Prezidentman » Sat Oct 04, 2014 4:04 am

Just wondering is there any news on the "guitar" album Steve talked about a few months back? I remember he said he'll start working on it in October...

I don't think we will hear anything about that before 2015. What I am more interested in a the moment is the DVD from the Nokia Club concert. If he wanted to start working on his new album this month, the DVD should be finished already.

Here I thought it was done already and it was just being manufactured.

With all this work it's gotta be great! I can't wait!

Did this sexual rain say anything about the cai academy song being released!

Thanks for the heads up! I was wondering what's going on. It's been very quiet the past 6 months...

I've heard tha blu-ray has been a bit of a flop in terms of sales and I have to admit I don't buy them anymore in favour of DVD. Perhaps its down to 'new format-fatigue', blu-ray being more expensive, or perhaps the additional resolution of blu-rays not being deemed worth it the additional cost of the discs/extra player. I watched a blu-ray film the other day and was surprised at being able to see how bad the actors skin was! <shudders> It put me off my lunch! There is extra capacity on a blu-ray, I suppose but this seems to covered by having double DVD releases which are probably cheaper that a single blu-ray.

3D TV has flopped in recent years, lets see how 4K and now 10k TV does....not very well I suspect.....

4k will become the new standard pretty soon...3D was a gimmick basically, whereas 4k is an actual improvement over Full HD. It'll take a couple of years but it will happen.
As for the blu-ray release - I think it all comes down to the costs. You have to invest a lot of money into bluray and unless you know you'll sell enough units to cover the costs it's not worth it. Even though Steve's got a very dedicated audience I simply don't think enough fans will get the bluray version to warrant the investment.
