its actually been a while and he hasn't exactly left. Maybe they're just waiting for a replacement? Or maybe he's just not full time anymore.

Thanks. I guess I can explain a little bit.

I actually left for a couple of months. When I did, I was mostly just running the server and the message boards, as well as programming whatever was requested.

Without going into details on the why's and hows, I can tell you that I met with Steve again during the tour last November, we discussed our visions of the site and concluded what the best way was to move ahead with vai.com. He then asked me if I wanted to do that. Which I'm doing right now.

Again without going into too much details (as it will become apparent soon anyway), we set out a 1 year plan for the development of this site, with certain features that Steve wanted. Since then, I've been maintaining the site as it is now, updating a lot of areas that needed updates, and developing those additions and changes Steve and I discussed.

We set out a year for this, because on the one hand, it's a lot, and secondly, I'm doing this pretty much in my free time (I do have another job and a life).

The good news is that it's all on track. The finish line is getting closer. As we're getting closer, more details will be revealed... (in a true authentic vai.com mystique kind of way, of course ;-))

For several minutes and almost 2-pages postings, I couldn't understand it at all ...

Jeroen is leaving the board !?
But Jeroen was still active around August 20th. :?

But then I saw that the original message was posted more than a year ago !

I still must be suffering from last week jet-lag :o

I must agreed with you :
Jeroen is doing a great job - during his free time ! - and I am happy he is still around and active
