These are some ideas of really rare Steve Vai tracks that could be good ideas for upcoming VaiTunes releases:
1. The track that plays on the ALS video credits and on the ALS DVD menu.
2. A blues track that came on a guitar magazine in 1999
3. A rock track that came on a Guitarist magazine demoing the JEM 7BSB guitar in 1996
4. The tracks from the Carvin Legacy demos
5. Garbage Wrapped in Skin (around Zappa time)
6. Pockets (from the 1985 GIT workshop)
7. "The Boogey Man", a bonus track for Real Illussions: Reflections that was released on the first EVO Experience.
8. The 2005 Grammy duet with Alicia Keys, "I'm Like a Bird"
9. "The Blossom Suite" with Sharon Isbin
10. The Fire Strings concert from Japan, by composer Ichiro Nodaira
Any other ideas?

Nice list, but wasn't the Grammy duet in 2002 and with Nelly Furtado?jenarom wrote:These are some ideas of really rare Steve Vai tracks that could be good ideas for upcoming VaiTunes releases:

I would also love to hear what Steve played at a different Grammy's show with the Bad Horsie guitar, he said he might re-record it at first, but it never happened...

Really? Sure, those weren't just demo versions of songs that ended up on the album?tom1325 wrote:Back in 2003 when Steve was recording songs for Real Illusions, he released a few videos of Jeremy in the studio jamming along to a couple of songs, they sounded awesome and would be great if he released them.

They definitely aren't songs that were used for Real Illusions. I'd like to hear the demos/rough cuts of these songs released too, they sound pretty awesome.
