Yeah, I've tried a few of the mp3 sites too and failed....and I'm in Europe...is there a way to just buy the mp3 through Vai.com with a credit card without having to register for Itunes or a similar service?
Speed was released a couple of days ago. This is a new version of the original song that appeared on Munetaka Higuchi's Free World album. Another version came on Archives Vol. 3, but with the original drums.
At first, I got kind of disappointed when I viewed the title of the song, but when I downloaded it and realized that this is an updated version, I thought is the best of the three versions.
Go get it!

Yeah, this version of "Speed" was almost redone, and after a few listens I think this latest version is the one I prefer. It probably sounds even more powerful, and guitar-wise, it's got some very cool additions, like the recurring slide-down wah part. Overall it sounds so great! So if you get it, I don't think you will be disappointed - I think Vai addicts like me will just dig this.
Anyway, to me "The Moon And I" is still unrivaled, my favorite VaiTune so far. I can't stop listening to it!

Hi people, I do have a Mac for one and a half years now but I don´t have ANY clue how Vai Tunes or iTunes works when it comes to buying songs.
Is the Vai tunes stuff gonna be released on a CD somewhen? Because I like to have something in my hand sto grab than only some files on my computer
. And if not, how many songs have been released so I can all buy them?
I´m gonna sneek into it right now, maybe I´ll find something

Patill, it's very simple, actually.
You need to choose an online music retailer among those that are listed on http://www.vai.com/vaitunes/
Given that you should already have iTunes on the Mac, you can download every song from there.
You need to create an account for the iTunes store, set it the way you prefer (you can get an iTunes card if you don't want to register a credit card as a way of payment), and then you just log in, download the songs/albums/whatever you're interested in, and log out. It's very simple, really.
As you can see, there are currently three Vai-Tunes available: "Without Me", "The Moon and I", and "Speed".
Also, you can get the booklets on http://www.vai.com/vaitunes/

Technically, the Passion & Warefare book has already been released. You see Steve (and I'm sure admin will back me up on this) released a number of short stories on Vai.com, which included stories which were written originally for the Passion and Warefare book. I'm not sure if they are still on the site, I'll have to have a good look around!RM wrote: The only one I doubt now is the Passion and Warfare book, but who needs that?! We already have the audio book!
