i remember it was hosted on the vai.com sights and sounds section a looooong time ago.
i personally think it is the best captured version of that song.
i remember it featured a black bassist i seem to recall being named barbarian?
the vid was labeled "bad horsie with bynoe barbarian intro".
however i haven't been able to track down that clip to save my life.
lord knows how long i've been looking.
anyways.. i did a bit of searching on the boards here and couldn't come up with anything.
if anyone can help me out it would end a seemingly endless search and be greatly appreciated.
Old Bad Horsie video
It's poorly encoded (by today's standards) and the audio was beyond distorted... but here it is for your viewing pleasure.

seriously.
I need a hero
I’m holding out for a hero ‘til the end of the night
He’s gotta be strong
And he’s gotta be fast
And he’s gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a hero
I’m holding out for a hero ‘til the morning light
He’s gotta be sure
And it’s gotta be soon
And he’s gotta be larger than life
seeeeeeeeeriously.

It's very good idea MikeyMikey wrote:I believe I found a second generation VHS tape of this recently - and I *think* I may have re-imported it.

Aaah that takes me back. The Fire Garden tour was the first time I saw Vai in person. That gig changed my life, not only because I was and am a huge Vai fan, but because it introduced me to the marvel that is Mike Keneally. If Vai was the soundtrack to my teens, Keneally was my soundtrack from 19 to 25. 25 to now is Zappa. Funny how all of them are linked!
