Bruce is a great artist. No reason to hate him because he won in the instrumental rock category. Although I would have preferred Steve to win, keep in mind just to be nominated is an honor in itself.

That is very true, but we all know that The Grammys have just turned into a popularity contest.

Im not saying Springsteens song wanst good, I have his new album and it is very good, but I believe Steve should of won the grammy tonight.

If Stephen Colbert was here, he'd say:
Stephen Colbert wrote:We live in a free market, and the market has spoken. Bruce Springsteen has sold more albums than Steve Vai, therefore Bruce Springsteen is a better guitar player than Steve Vai.

Hehe. Aaaah, satire.

It doesn't matter that Steve didn't win - he was nominated and that's gotta be great publicity, plus he's won in the past, and performed live in front of millions on the telecast. However, I would still like to see him sweep every category one of these days!

Grammys being a popularity contest is true, and thats why bands try their hearts out usually ONLY for their first album. That isn't the scenario for Steve though, but more people have heard of Springsteen. I personally don't think the song is too good but I guess he deserved it.

I actually feel sorry for Satch. What's that, 13 nominations and still no Grammy? That's gotta hurt.

to me it seemed like they were really flailing about trying to create the whole show - i mean could they have focused more on that same foo fighters song or amy winehouse? i mean i dont really listen to popular radio but cmon, theres ALOT more albums that have been released over the last year. I was talking about it with some people and realized though, think about say performers - who else could they have got to perform that has popular acclaim?
