I hope he wins! Then again, if Joe won I wouldn't feel bad either, I don't think he's actually won a grammy yet, only been nominated several times. Here's good luck to both of them!

I hope it'll be Steve this time.
On the other side - how come they have picked 'The Attitude Song' when there are newer (and better) tunes on the Sound Theories album? (Sorry to be critical at this point but then again..)

That was my first thought too, but I guess that the Attitude Song fits well in this category (Best Rock Instrumental Performance) :wink:
Well I was hoping that some other songs or the whole album would appear in another category (orchestral work, ...) but unfortunately that's not the case :(

It would be a shame if Metallica were to beat Steve Vai, since technically their version of The Ecstacy of Gold has James yodel singing the melody of the song.
