What do you think? Sure, the CD from 1990 still looks and sounds great on it's own and for only $10, it's the best $10 you could ever spend, but ...
What if ... just what if Passion And Warfare could be ... oh, let's say enhanced in time for it's 20th birthday, hmm?
Cast your vote and hope that Steve sees it!
Plans or ideas for Passion And Warfare's 20th Anniversary?

I'd rather have a new album. P&W is perfect as it is!

Agree to that. P&W is a masterpiece, as is.
I'd agree to that, but how about Steve Vai doing a tuition video for the whole P&W Album, every track inside out. just to mark the 20th anniverary, or play them all live with the 20th anniversary jem re-recorded.Big Bad Bill wrote:I'd rather have a new album. P&W is perfect as it is!

I like the idea of a passion % warfare tour, just the whole album played straight through, cant see it happening though
lol ... I can't see Steve breaking his back to do the entire album on tour night after night ... especially my personal fave, "The Riddle." I think an SACD, DVD-Audio, or even a double redbook CD with bonus outtakes, demos, stories, photos) would be much easier and more fun for both Stevie and his fans.
Besides, between Steve's tour I just caught in Sept, videos on YouTube, his live DVD's and CD's, both as a solo artist and as part of G3, you have half the Passion And Warfare album performed live already! Without the magic of his studio, we wouldn't have Passion And Warfare to begin with, ladies and germs...

Yeah, in LA my friend got to see him play the whole album in order. It was part of Satch's Big Secret that he wanted to announce. If Vai did a tour like that I would absolutely die. Just hope its Milwaukee, eventhough the crowd was horrible. Sorry about that Steve.VAI05 wrote:I like what they did with Satriani's Surfing With The Alien this year. Something like that would be nice.

If Steve could make himself turn over all the masters and let someone else do it, it wouldn't take away from any other projects. Of course I doubt Steve would do that, because he likes things to be just so. I'd love to see it happen, but I'd hate to delay any other work.
