I got the DVD a few weeks ago and I'm absolutely thrilled with it! I was already delighted when I got the CD but the DVD is just another level! Other than the obviously out of this world music, I really enjoyed how the concert has been broken down and presented in 'disorder' to make it even more interesting for the viewer! I also enjoyed the original way in which Steve was interviewed. Well done again Mr. Vai!!!

I am now looking forward to the new album by another Steve, Mr. Steve Stevens new solo album Memory Crash!

So far, visual sound theories is the best DVD aside from G3 Live in Tokyo!! Does mr vai did make a mistake at the end part of the gentle ways? I saw that he did knock on the rear part of the FLO to gain sustain..

Mr. Mikey,
Does mr vai have a plan to visit the philippines to make a concert? Reply will be highly appreciated.. Thanks!

I just bought the Visual Sound Theories DVD, but went I went to a very large retailer to look for it, I was very angry because it took me about an hour to find and it was in the wrong section with only one copy remaining! Anyways it really made me appreciate Vai's work and understand the soul in all music.

I look again " Visual sound theories ", and it appears to me like that.
The arrangement of the elements which composes it, solid and light however.
The alchemy of the ingredients, scholarly and refined.
Just what is necessary of whipped cream, frothy and light.
Pépites of chocolate, aromatic and powerful, come like waterfalls of flowery notes.
The ensemble, steered and executed in a shared and communicative enjoyment.
A greedy pleasure.

I have to tell you, I begin a diet!

I would like to know if there's a particular reason for "Helios and Vesta" not being included ? (technical issues ? damaged tape or camera problems ?). I love this piece and since it's about 8 minutes long I would hate to think it was just a matter of time restrictions. :?

Anyway, this DVD is so great. I consider it a major addition to Steve's body of work.

And "I'm Becoming" is just about the sweetest song I've heard. :)

Do you know what has struck me?
The pure scale of the project. It must have been so hard. Area's that the end person has no idea about. All the departments & logistics it must have taken. The mind boggles.

finally picked up the DVD (well, bought it on Amazon) I LOVE it! I had only seen the video of For the Love of God, and am in love with this DVD, the orchestration is wonderful, and the mix is phenomenal! Thanks for this awesome DVD, keep up the orchestra work Steve, it sounds beautiful!

Heading downstairs to fire up the DVD on the big screen and all I can think of is the kid from The Audience is Listening "It's gonna be loud!"
