If someone can confirm it is region free I'm tempted to order from the USA as even with shipping it's likely to be not much more than a tenner. I know the G3 Japan DVD was region free so I got that months before any UK shops advertised it.

Since it's region free, I've ordered my copy from Amazon USA. It actually works out cheaper for UK customers due to the strong pound Sterling!

Just got to wait 6-23 days now.............. :cry:

Unfortunately, Best Buy doesn't seem to be carrying the DVD this week. I'll probably end up getting it at the show tomorrow night if the price is reasonable.

I am enjoying this dvd very much. Haven't watched it all yet, just up to Liberty. Looking forward to the rest. Thanks Steve.

I remember from the dutch broadcast that the video footage was shot in widescreen (16:9), but on webshops I keep reading that the dvd is in full frame (4:3). As my ordered dvd is still somewhere between USA and Holland, can someone clarify this?

It's widescreen, although I can't confirm that it's anamorphic until later tonight when I can try it out on a 16x9 monitor. I'm watching it on a 4:3 monitor at the moment and it is letterboxed.

It's true 16x9. Unfortunately the retailers don't seem to know this currently.

let me tell you dear vai-fans..it is absolutly great!!!
the sound quality is good.
i watched it for three times now,and i love it!!!!!
the backstage stuff is very cool,also the interview with steve.

Just got mine for £6.80 :)
Is it just the one disc? I didn't think it was coming out until tomorrow but then I realised it's been out almost a week! :(
