Didn't get to meet him but I met Dave Wiener, Jeremy, Eric Sardinas, and Tony MacAlpine. They came out one by one after the show and by the time Tony came out it was like 2:30 and I had to go after talking to him because there was school the next day  and my mom was driving. Just one more hour and Steve would of been out lol. However while walking around downtown disney before the show my friend pointed out some guy who he thought was Tony and we quickly dissmissed. However we then saw him go into the restricted area where the bus was parked. Damn. We talked to him afterwards and he had just come from eating dinner from Wolfgang Pucks restrurant and he said we could of joined him. Next time I am going to meet Vai for sure and get the Evo experience tickets.

Manchester last year

#23 Post by BoonDog » Tue Aug 09, 2005 7:01 am

I met steve last year at (for the 2nd time) after the manchester G3 gig. Stood out in the drizzle waiting for steve and Joe to Appear. Joe did his usual dissapearing act but steve, Billy, Jeremy, and Dave were all gracious enough to sign various bits for people. Nearly caught one of Js Drum sticks.

I more than likely spoke to Jam3z there as there were a few of us against the barrier until they decided to move it backwards and round after we were stood there for a good hour and half so that the Wagon's could back up.

Steve is a true gent and a great composer.

Jam3z, did you get a fret signed?

Regards

Boondog :D

Well he kept looking and pointing towards me and eventually gave me his pick, but I never got the chance to talk to him... does that count?

Yes, I met Steve while walking around in Montreal before the G3 '03 concert. He signed my guitar and posed for pics. I also met him backstage later that night thanks to aftershow passes won from Vai.com. Also signed my flexable cd and a tourbook for a friend who couldn't come. Very nice man.

I actually met him before the show in Hartford, Connecticut at around 3pm. He seemed very rush-y and we didn't get much time to talk to him (me and my buds and around three other guys just waiting around). He was leaving the tour bus and before that Sheehan walked in. After the show, I ran backstage and handed one of the techs some shoes. I met Dave Weiner there too. He was talking to some ladies or something and I kind of just stared at him with a MASSIVE grin on my face.It kind of went like this

*massive grins* "Hi.."

"Yeah uh do you have a pass?"

*massive grin still on face* " No.."

At that point security rushed me off. Tis a moment I will never forget!
