Does Steve Vai charge for autographs? I was watching G3 Live in Denver (2003) and it looked like Vai exchanged an autograph for money. Can someone let me know if he does?
~Thanks

i highly doubt he would do a think like that or any artist for that matter. if it wasn't for his fans he wouldn't have any money so i don't think he would do something like charge a fan for a autograph

Believe it or not, there are a bunch of bands who do that. I can't imagine that Steve Vai would, though.

he didn't charge me. it was probably just the fan handing him something else to sign, or a letter or something.

the only time you get charged for his signature is if you buy an Ibanez Jem....

I've met a few Apollo astronauts and they all charge for signing autographs. I thought this was just an 'American' thing since it doesn't happen in Europe.

Or does it........................?

Obviously that fan was giving Steve his 'good luck' dollar to be signed 8)

Steve signs autographs very kindly and patiently, even more than you can expect! And for free of course ;-)
