No it's not just you! In fact I forgot all about it until I saw the thread againGTR-MAN wrote:I'm still waiting too. Glad it's not just me.

Haha, something like that, man. The DVD features a main part with Steve and also includes an extended interview with Steve as a bonus feature. To sum it up, LOTS of Steve Vai. The main program runs for 2 hours and 13 minutes and the bonus features run for an hour and 51 minutes. All of this for free. Pretty sweet. I felt like I was in tv production class with all that panning and zooming of the guitars. Anyways the extended interview with Steve is pretty funny and interesting. I just wish they would of shown the song Steve was about to play at the music institue, which was The Reaper.

Yep got mine yesterday as well
not as much playing on there though as I had hoped. Still pretty cool to watch Alan Holdsworth rip out a couple of licks. The interviewer says man that was really good, Alan looks disdained and says that? That sucked! I wish I sucked like that! (That could sound really bad out of context
) But I did enjoy it still. It's a great sales video. Watching the CNC's make the guitars was really cool and sure grabbed my sons attention. Really does make you want to go and check out a Carvin if you never have!
By the way anyone have any idea who's playing while they're showing the California Carved Tops being made. Some awesome violin playing going on.

I just got mine too, and think it's real cool. I really liked watching that machine carve that guitar , changing bits all by itself... really cool to watch. The factory looked much cleaner and modern than the Ibanez factory in Japan.
The interview stuff, especially with Vai was cool too. Vai always seems to have a cool story to tell. I only wish the performance stuff would've been different than the stuff they pulled from the London DVD, still cool nonetheless.

I agree about the performances.
I was really hoping to see & hear Steve doing
a demo of the Legacy.
I know we get to hear it all the time but almost never
just by itself.
Other than that, I loved watching the dvd.
I'm sold. Did you see Mr. Carvin throwing that poweramp around?
I had no idea that Carvin made such quality gear.
Those machines are the shit!
I'd like to see them put Evo in there & scan with the lasers.
they could make exact replicas and make them a lot less expensive
than Ibanez!

That was pretty awesomeLake of desire wrote:Yup. Been down this road a thousand times before. Some company giving out free stuff or arranging a sweepstake... for U.S citizens only (well, they accept Canadians this time too, congrats!). One day we, the rest of the world, are going to have our own mega special sweepstake (The next Ultra cool JEM anniversary edition + a Legacy + a week of guitar lessons from Steve at your home.... You get the idea) and the best part is that YOU, the U.S. citizens, YOU, You, You are also wellcome to join it, 'cause we, the rest of the world, think that having an opportunity to participate in a sweepstake this cool isn't just our prerogative. I've spoken, and I'll shut up now.
Did I ever say that I love you U.S guys?
