THREE SIMPLE SUGGESTIONS

1. NO special effects (Astoria was incredible, but the special FX was annoying.)

2. LOTS of bonus features, or as much as possible (Interviews, behind the scenes, in-studio footage of RI recording sessions, etc.)

3. And the most important... RELEASE THE ENTIRE CONCERT.

If those three things are kept in check... Folks, you've got yourself an amazing DVD. Unless it's a Britney Spears DVD.

Actually a Britney Spears DVD with the ability to zoom in and change angles would be pretty good. heeheehee.

I love the Astoria DVD but I think this time around Steve and the gang will have to out do themselves (which will be pretty damn hard). There needs to be more extras. Like a whole thing going over Vai's equiptment maybe? How about a longer sound check and such. Also the dvd should coincide with the cd. Like have a section with vai in the studio showing how he recorded some things and just a little more insight on the cd. Also throw in the interviews and such. I dont care how much the dvd costs if there were to be a lot of extras I wouldpay any price! :D

Yeah, if the DVD cost £30 over here i'd buy it...knowing that it was chock full of Vai and the Breed.

Give us lots of stuff Mikey/Steve!

I would like to see Steve and Tony perform the corssroads dual just as he did on the fire garden tour with Mike Keneally. I still havent seen any footage of the fire garden one but I can imagine how amazing it would be. And also Hand on Heart, I love this song and I think it is one Steve's finest tunes, but a Steve Vai DVD would great with anything on so im not too fussed. :D

I think that Steve should play songs that he never plays live, and certainly not ones from the DVD that are already out. I mean there are incredible songs that i have never seen him play live, Boston Rain Melody, Tender Surrender, Windows to the Soul, The Riddle, Hand on Heart, Touching Tongues, Warm Regards, Die to Live...I mean even if i dont really like the song, it will be great to hear and watch stuff that you listen to but have never seen him play.

cooler camera work, have you guys seen DT Live at Budokan? I love the cameras that go through the air and pan accross the stage, it feels like you are floating, it is great.

No corny effects, good ones are fine

definitly more hot babes haha

Extras like studio footage, and sound checks, rehearsals, i love that stuff, its so much more genuine sounding

maybe a different cover, although i love Hendrix i just think that it is really getting played out

and last but not least, a song where steve is suspended in the air and flying over the audience with huge wings attached to his back while still playing

i would definatly say,
we need more behind the scene stuff. like before the show, warm-ups etc etc getting it all set-up. bus trips.. footage of steve commenting on things. etc etc

showing the people who don't play guitar, what tourings all about. the tirsome hours.
better special features.. the last DVD the "fretcam" sucked really bad lol.. and it was no help to anything.
the only behind the scene stuff was the end credits where yngwie was being a dick...

the first 1000 copies should be signed by steve Vai and able to purchase WORLDWIDE from VAI.com

make sure we have great surround sound.. 5:1

more solos.. as posted above.. more solos from each band member..

possibly a commentry on each track from steve and/or other band members..

it would be great to see practice footage of the whole band..

i could think of more..

Cheers

Extended set where the full RI:I cd is played.
That would fucking rock.
Also some rarities, and a part where steve shows us all his gear etc.

The most important thing for me is:

Please release it in a reasonable amount of time! Maybe early 2006.

In addition to that I would want:

- The entire concert
- Widescreen 16x9
- DTS and Dolby Digital
- Commentary
- Professional camera work
- Extras: Soundchecks, EVO experience, touring videos

I would also buy the entire concert in CD version.

The entire concert would be great.
Also studio footage for some extras would be very cool.

Yeah, i just hope we dont have to wait as long as we did for the Astoria dvd... :/ In all honesty... i remember Steve saying that his next dvd wasnt coming out until 2007. He also said that it was going to be massive. A mix of live and studio video's. So....this is probobly why the dvd footage is going to be recorded....Mikey, shed some light? :)

I like Gary2005's idea. How about having a competition where maybe 5 winners have the chance to get up on stage and play a short solo each with Steve. During this tour of America he let a fan get up and play with him so it might be possible. I don't think that there is guitar player out there who wouldn't want to have that chance! :guitar

But then again, I don't pay to see some schmock perform. I pay to see Steve. So get off stage and let the guys play!
