is $1500
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Jem70VSFG/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
half the cost of the white jem, which is $3000
the only difference I see is
- alder body vs basswood
- premium fret edge vs prestige fret edge (what the?)
- hardware chrome vs gold
- made in indonesia lol
- no scalloped frets
The rest is just the same, how come only those small differences, which are mostly cosmetic, except for the body, amount to a 1500 difference
Why is the JEM sea foam green cheaper?

yeah, but older versions with the crap low edge tremolo systemJeries wrote: white jems go used for under 15 all over
NO WAY you can get the new version of the jem, the one that cost $3000, and comes with original trem, scalloped frets, and many other improvements, for less than 1500 lol
for that price, might as well get a new prestige with original trem

the NEWER verions sell for LESS than the older ones
the IMPOVEMENTS are actually cost cutting measures that are UNDESIRABLE and take away from value
rosewood vs ebony,
cheap bridge vs old bridge.
the only reason i bought my jem was because it was pre 2004 2005 or whatever
they're not crap edge's they're better
not long ago that $3000 jem was $2300 and before that $1800
so not everyone paid 3000
and guitar center's cost on them at one time was like $1400 then $1600
so i could get a white jem new for that
ALSO
they finally sold it - but the guitar center i deal with the most had a NEW $3000 jem for $1500 because it was in the store for so long- it was missing the case and bar but was the newer $3000 one
anyway
post stuff when you know something next time
I also think that in adition to being made in indonesia, the beck profile is the standard Premium profile ( witch the sea foam green version is based on ) instead of the JEM profile.
They are very close, if not, Steve would not aproove them I think.
If you look at the early catalogs from 87-88, you see that the JEM neck profile is close to the original wizzard profiles but just a little thinker/rounder, king of elliptical.
