I think it was cool how he used it.

One of the necks was a fret less if i can remember correctly.

oh yeah its a really cool place

its a WORLD instrument museum

so very little of it is american/rock&roll
no stone is left unturned it covers EVERYTHING in world music

walking around you'll see dozens of countries you've never heard of

and you can see things evolve or how things move alone and how every culture has their form of this or that

pretty sweet

It had Claptons BROWNIE

The Triple neck is there currently

OK its the troll and this is my opinion about the 3 neck guitar ,,..why?,..one neck has a simple loop going ,another he strums the odd chord,,..which is delayed,..the solo is nice.

don't get me wrong and i know most of you are going to hate me even more for this but,,..
why ,..because he can I suppose,..the playing he did on that 3 neck wank creation was nice but very simple,,. its more hey look at me I can play 3 guitars at once ,...ok not that hard considering the sound system he uses thousands upon thousands of dollars spent on sounds.

,.the average person would go broke trying to sound like steve,..turn off the switch dude pick up a simple classic guitar and lets see what you got...a few scales may be but could you really play it ,.i mean really play it,...

We've already established that Steve can play. I mean really play. So I fail to see the problem with having some fun and being ridiculous for the sake of a good show.

it does look ridiculous.I will admit that. But it is the musical value it brings that makes it cool. Its hard enough to play one guitar, but three? That's plain awesome. The necks are different. One is fretless, one is a twelve string, and the main is a normal one.

Pay attention, then - there's Steve playing acoustic all over the place. Including on the last DVD. He's good. :)

anyone that can play a one neck guitar can play a 3 neck guitar or even a 5 neck guitar

it's about SHOWMANSHIP

and thats as important as ability to play the guitar in the first place

ive heard steve is designing a 7 neck guitar with ibanez ,..i have good friends that are in the guitar business as I managed a guitar shop for several years,..
apparently the guitar will be mounted on a stand so vai can stand behind it and play,..
steve seems to have a thing about the number seven,... :guitar
