The ends showing are the colored covers you can get for the George L cables that Thomas Nordegg makes up. There must be several cables bundled inside the mesh covering that he also uses to cover a bundle of several cables.

Funny thing is, all the cables I see being used by the greats( steve, gilbert, pettrucci, satch among others)seem to be in fact either handmade/built by the guitar tech(possibly from dimarzio/above mentioned George L kits) OR they are but one big secret brand that noone here has been able to name so far(I'm referring to the "green" jack plugs).

Just random hypothesis, feel free to drop in and correct me otherwise :)

Everyone on this side of the fence(or at least my amateur's) seems to rave (and complain about the price) about Planet waves cables, which I must admit sound a little better when used with my own gear at a friend of mine.

Yeah, but if you look at the video HeYaaaandy on youtube, he is using lava with silent plug? (I think so). On JEMINI video he is using his signature cable. I don't recognize which cable he had at Jemfest X. It's black, maybe it's signature..... :D

Well....i know steve is using cables which Thomas Nordegg makes....and these are LAVA, there is also silent plug (red one). But....which one was used on WTWTA DVD, and here, jack is the same...the difference is only in cable color, or in whole cable.
