Are these pickups still used by Steve? Evo and Evo2 seem to be in the vast majority from what I can tell

he uses them in the mirror guitars he has, mojo and bo, and they get used quite often live, and as far as i can tell they get used in the studio

He uses breeds mostly for lower tunings.
The BRMR (mirror) guitar also called Bad horsie jem was used in a drop C tuning.

ive just bought a breed neck pickup and i have to say its the best neck pickup i have ever used.after trying loads of different dimarzios i have finally found what i have been looking for

Between all three of the Vai sig DiMarzios--the Breeds are my favorites. I love the punchiness of the Evos, the grittiness of the Evo2, but the Breeds are the warmest of the bunch.
