So what's the status on this pedal? When the heck is it gonna come out? Is it any where near completion? It looks like a really interesting pedal and I was wondering when it will be availble to buy.

wasn't 2008 given as a date?

I think we're going to have to wait till the next NAMM for now (january I think)

Anyone know how much this thing is gonna cost? More or less than buying a DS-1 and Tubescreamer seperately?

Well the Jemini will be a signature pedal so it will probably go for somehwere between 200-300 US

I'd guess 150-200$, which is alot by itself, but if they go above that it would be a ripoff. The most expensive thing about pedal is hardware which they are not doubling by sticking two pedals into one...but then there's signature price :) Od/dist pedals (especially fuzz) are the easiest and cheapest to build, electronics-wise.

The Keeley modded Ts-9 that Vai uses is $239, the (Keeley, but I think he uses Analogman now?) DS-1 is $129 :?

well yes, but that's aftermarket modded pedal, not a production version. It costs about the same (within 3$ difference) to make stock DS-1 or keeley modded DS-1 from scratch. Yhe same goes for TS-9 (add 5$ for new foot switch for this one). Nothing magical going on there, just few components changed. With keeley pedals I think that most of price goes to labor and the fact that Vai (or whoever famos) uses modded pedals.
cheers

I wonder if that pedal with the swirl paint job is a newer proto of the Jemini.

Yeah I think that's the final version of the Jemini. Steve shows it to you in the new video that Carvin just released.

Can MIKEY or one of the other Admin. Give us a better idea ?? This thing is driving everyone on this forum nuts!! Obviously we know we cant get an exact date, but can someone give us an idea ? Sometime before the year ends ? maybe next early next year ? Some small bits of info would help everyone out a great deal here,as we are all very anxious to get our little hands on this neat looking pedal.
