That was a clinic. Shipping is always a concern overseas for heavy equipment.

The gear Steve used at the clinic was all loaner gear. All he brought with him was FLO.

As Brentm correctly said, for something like a clinic like this, shipping Steve's heads and cabinets would be very expensive. I don't believe there is a Russian Carvin distributor, hence the Marshalls.

Thanks Mikey! I was beginning to wonder why he would switch.

I figured as much too, but is it just me, or was that guitar sound closer to the orginal FTLOG recording than it is through the carvins ?

Might just be my ears this morning.

the Carvin Legacys came into play a bit later

Aye very true, Steve used marshalls when he was with zappa, and again with DLR but that was DLR's choice.

Anyone have any good idea for setting with my Marshall JCm 2000 with BOSS Gt-8 and soon to be JEM7V (this week)?

check your pm, i have approximately the same set up.

I must say though, steve kinda looks funny in front of marshalls. I guess his whole visual style matches the carvin legacy's so much that the marshalls kinda stick out like a sore thumb, lol. The real cost of having your own signature gear.

He hasn't been using EVO for quite some time now.
Besides, it's only a guitar.
